Description
The Snoqualmie Building at the UW Tacoma campus was built in 1902 and renovated in 1996. This building, which was erected a few years after the first hydroelectric plant was built, and housed huge transformers needed to reduce the power coming in from the plant into Tacoma.
The building was transformed into a warehouse in the 1950s and then empty for many years before being renovated to become the library for the UW Tacoma campus in 1996.
